Windows 8 Developer Preview

Changing topics for today, I want to talk about the Windows 8 Developer Preview which was released on September 13th. I had the time to install it under virtual box and was pleasantly surprised! About how fast it installed the easy to understand install prompts and the new “MetroUI which is aimed at touched devices. Also the ability to switch to the standard Windows operating system. Internet Explorer 9 What’s New?

Well as the title says you can guess we are going to be switching gears for at least today. Instead of Cisco information for a today in this blog post I want talk about Internet Explorer 9 and its features which was released yesterday night at 9pm Pacific time. But what makes Internet Explorer 9 any different? One thing you’ll notice is that Internet Explorer 9 does have a slimmer UI and does run faster than IE8 did. However there is a lot under the hood IE9. Internet Explorer 9 RC

Yesterday Microsoft released the release candidate version for Internet Explorer 9, some things have changed compared to the beta release which was released in September, bug fixes, “Do Not Track” settings were added and the UI (User Interface) changed slightly. I like the feel of it, and it seems a lot more stable compared to the beta releases. Continue reading
